Home security trends in 2021

by Feb 4, 2021Safety

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into 2021, people will continue to spend more time in their homes than ever before. And now many more than ever want to invest in these homes and make them as comfortable and efficient as possible. There are a host of exciting new smart home products ready to help.

Hassle-free, simple and smarter than ever

The new smart home products we see in the market are less scary than before and their capabilities are huge. They are easy to install and do not require wiring and other complicated installation techniques. Many are plug-and-play so they can run in minutes.

We see amazing new doorbells, cameras, sensors and more that can really help consumers make their homes smarter and more secure. Not only that, but many of the pieces are made to work with other smart home products you may already have, creating a hassle-free system.

A couple we are excited about:

  • Hex’s new home security system who uses artificial intelligence to keep an eye on your house without cameras.
  • Alarm.com’s battery-powered sensor unit you can place on almost anything, indoors or outdoors, to keep an eye on things. anywhere to keep an eye on most things (think sheds, fences, bikes).
  • That Lockly Duo, a new smart lock product that opens both a dead bolt and a regular bolt at the same time.
  • Owl wired‘s new smoke alarm that not only detects smoke but also monitors motion, sound, carbon monoxide content and works with IFTTT, Alexa and Google Home.
