  • 200 ml milk (2% or whole milk)
  • 1/2 shot espresso


  • Heat your milk in a saucepan to the desired temperature.
  • Pour it into a mug and add it to your espresso.

2. Einspänner (Austria)

Einspänner is an invention of the Austrians and derives its name from the German word for a single horse-drawn carriage. Since the cart can be driven with one hand, the other is free to drink coffee.

  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Mix your whipped cream in the cooled bowl with the sugar and vanilla. Whisk all of these until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  • Mix your espresso and sugar in another glass, then fill it with whipped cream.

Cafezinho (Brazil)

Cafezinho means “little coffee” reminiscent of the warm hospitality of the Brazilian. This coffee drink is brewed using a special cloth flannel filter that makes it thick and sweet without the use of cream or milk.

  • 3/4 cups cold water


  • In a small saucepan, place your water and sugar and heat it just below boiling point.
  • Slowly add the coffee grounds and remove from the heat. Stir well.
  • Pour the solution into a Cafezinho filter and wait for it to drip through. Do not force as it affects the taste.

4. Pharisee coffee (Germany)

The Pharisäer Kaffee drink was originally invented to avoid the anger of local priests, who at the time were strict when it came to alcohol. As such, parishioners spiced up their rum-infused coffee with whipped cream to dampen the aroma.

  • 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of water


  • Make your milk tea first. Place the tea leaves and water in the pot and boil it gently. Slowly lower the heat and simmer for three minutes.
  • Remove from the heat while adding condensed milk. Then return it to the heat and simmer for another three minutes.
  • Strain the tea leaves.
  • Mix your milk, tea and coffee and mix thoroughly. Experiment with different conditions until you reach the desired taste.
  • Serve hot or cold.

  • 8 tablespoons mashed Mexican coffee
  • 3 piloncillo cones or 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • Mix the water, piloncillo cones, cinnamon and the optional ingredients in your pan.
  • Cook until the sugar dissolves. Remove the pan from the heat and add the coffee grounds. Let it soak for 8-10 minutes.
  • Cut it into cups and serve.

10. Mazagran (Portugal)

Mazagran is another unique coffee beverage with a combination of cold brewed coffee and lemonade. The drink was invented in the 1840s by French soldiers stationed in Algiers, Algeria.

  • Add your peppercorns to a preheated pan and cook them until toasted.
  • In a grinder, grind your peppercorns and coffee beans into a coarse texture.
  • Place the mixture in a saucepan and add in water. Boil it and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Pour the drink into a pour-over coffee machine.

13. Turkish coffee (Turkey)

  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon finely ground arabica beans
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 1-2 teaspoons white sugar


  • Boil your sugar and water in an ibrik or a small saucepan.
  • Remove from the heat and add the coffee beans and cardamom.
  • Heat it until the coffee beans. Do this twice.
  • Pour it into cups and set aside until the ground settles.

14. Bulletproof Coffee (USA)

  • 2 teaspoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg


  • Brew a cup of dark and robust coffee.
  • In a bowl, separate the egg yolk from the whites. Mix egg yolks with condensed milk and whip it until it forms a frothy mixture.
  • Add the brewed coffee and continue mixing.
