Ninja Professional Blender Plus | Ninja BN701, black

That Ninja BN701 is the most updated version of the ever popular Ninja Professional Blender. The brand doubled its functionality and kept the price within reach.

It boasts three Auto-IQ mixes for smoothies, ice cream crushes and healthy frozen treats. These intelligent presets take the guesswork out of the mix.

Apart from these handy presets, it can also help you make nut butters, sauces and dips, and if you buy the Kitchen System variant, it comes with a food processor attachment that opens up multiple kitchen applications.

Compared to its predecessor (Ninja Professional Blender 1000), the Ninja BN701 has more processing power. To give you a concrete idea, the former comes with a 1000 watt motor and the latter is rated at 1400 watts.

Now let’s get to the good and bad parts of this product.

PROS

  • Modern sleek design
  • Affordable
  • 3 walk-away mix options
  • 3 manual speed control
  • Pulse function
  • 72 ounce jug for large portions
  • Powerful motor of 1400 watts

  • Marked measurements on the jug
  • Easy to clean and dishwasher safe
  • BPA-free

Ninja Professional Blender features

Application

This Ninja Professional Blender has a stacked blade design. Instead of the usual solitary leaf, the brand chose three leaves stacked on top of each other. They call it the total knife blade.

That feat along with its powerful 1400 watt motor makes it extremely efficient at pulverizing anything inside it. It can crush ice cream, make your favorite smoothie, etc.

To give you a clear picture, here is what you can do with Ninja BN701.

* Kneading function is only possible with the food processor equipment

This list is usually shorter on affordable blenders. Perhaps that’s the ultimate selling point of this Ninja Professional Countertop Blender with Auto-IQ.

Unfortunately, some users have reported that you end up with a not so smooth structure. But given the affordable price point, this is something we can compromise on.

However, there is a walk around for the little problem. If you want a silky soft blend, use the cups for a serving. It is included when you purchase the Ninja BN801 Kitchen System variant.

Just so you know, this product can not handle hot objects. It is not designed to make hot soups. This is something that only Ninja Hot and Cold blender can do.

Ease of use

The only complicated thing about this table mixer is the placement of the jug and lid.

Here’s what I mean:

But that’s all there is to it. You will find out in no time.

On a positive note, this complex twisting and locking mechanism adds an extra level of security. Imagine the knives flying out of the container. That would be a huge disaster.

So kudos to the brand for making it ultra-secure for users.

One thing to keep in mind is that when pouring smoothies, you must first take the crushed leaves.

All in all, I would say that the Ninja Professional Plus blender has a usability of 3/5.

Technology

Now let’s get to the control panel.

What I like about this Ninja Professional blender is that it comes with Auto-IQ presets for making the most common recipes.

Ninja BN701 comes with three hassle-free settings – for smoothies, crushing ice cream and frozen desserts.

On top of these Auto-IQ programs, you can also use the manual speed levels (low, medium, high). There is also a pulse button if the situation requires it.

Last but not least – cleaning.

Let’s face it; Washing your blender is not exciting. Fortunately, all accessories from Ninja Professional Plus dishwasher are safe.

Pro type:

Wash your blender immediately. If not, fill your blender halfway with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Run it for approx. one minute to loosen hardened food particles.

Note that the Ninja BN701 is an independent blender for tabletops. This variant does not come with attachment of the food processor nor the servings.

If you want this accessory, check out the Ninja Kitchen System variant. It is basically the same machine with much minor differences.

I will not confuse you, so here is a quick comparison of Ninja BN701 and Ninja BN801.

Technically, the BN801 is more a lot than the BN701. For some reason, the mark did not indicate whether the accessory is cross-compatible. So if you really want this accessory, go for the BN801 model right away.
