cheese blender, 1200 seriesnow you are  ready to learn about oster blender review. Oster blenders are the first ordinary mixers. The earliest Osterizer was released back in 1946. We are now in the 21st century, yet the brand still thrives.

Okay, enough for the history lesson. Let’s talk about Oster Pro 1200 Plus blender.

The ultimate selling point of this machine is its price. Some brands charge an extra personal cup, but it is already included in the Oster Pro 1200 Plus. It also offers a variant with a food processor attachment, the Oster Pro 1200 XL.

Even with the food processor accessories, your bill does not exceed one hundred dollars (at the time I write this review).

Another advantage of this machine is its glass container. Most modern blenders have a plastic container. It is a heavy and fragile option, but glass is a non-reactive material. If this is something on your list, then this is something that the Pro 1200 can offer.

To limit it all, you get a 3-year warranty with this super affordable blender. This is quite remarkable considering that a year is pretty standard for competing products in the same price range.

If you want to learn more, let’s jump into its pros and cons.

Cheese Blender Pro 1200 Features

Application

Oster Pro 1200 Plus has three pre-programmed functions. It is optimized for making smoothies, salsas and milkshakes, but it does not end there.

Here is a more comprehensive list of its potential uses.

Compared to previous models, the Oster Pro 1200 Plus and Pro 1200 XL have a larger blade system that can go in both directions. Simply put, it is more efficient than its predecessors.

However, it is not a perfect machine. There are a few things that it can not do.

Grind dry grains—Unlike a Vitamix blender, it is not powerful enough to pulverize grains into flour.

Hot Supper—It can not make hot soups alone, but it can treat hot objects with the 1.4 l glass bottle. Just be sure to remove the cap to prevent pressure buildup. Mixing hot ingredients with the personal cup is a big no-no.

If you are looking for a blender that works like a hot soup machine, you can try the Ninja glass blender.

Nut Butters—It is also not recommended to treat oily objects. I think it has something to do with the knife collection. Unlike other blenders with a fixed knife system, it can all be disassembled. Cleaning up the greasy O-ring becomes a nightmare, plus it can loosen the parts during operation.

On a lighter note, it works as advertised. It’s great for making green smoothies and protein shakes.

Ease of use

Cheese blenders are fairly simple to use, including the Pro 1200 Plus model. There are only a total of nine buttons to work with, and that includes the power switch and pulse control.

Now you are down to three pre-programmed cycles and three manual speed controls. The latter is obvious, so let me explain when I should use automatic features.

The green / frozen smoothie button is ideal for processing green vegetables. On the other hand, the food chop / salsa mode is excellent for obtaining a lumpy mixture. Finally, you can use the milkshake button when dealing with iced drinks.

In terms of assembly, there is no twist-and-lock mechanism. Just secure the blade in place with either the personal cup or 1.4 l glass container and then place it on the bottom.

One thing that I do not like about Oster blenders, in general, is their design of knife assembly. DIYers will love the fact that you can take it all apart, but it’s pretty dangerous. You have to be careful about it.

Fortunately, all the removable parts of the Oster Pro 1200 Plus blender dishwasher are safe. Unless necessary, you do not need to wash the blade unit manually.

All in all, we give it a 3/5 ease of use. It’s easy to use, but there’s still room for improvement.

accessories

There is no information on whether the accessories for the Oster Pro 1200 Plus and Oster Pro 1200 XL are cross-compatible. At the moment you can not get any of this accessory as an upgrade. So it would be wise to choose a variant that already has the attachment you need.

Cheese mixers are heavy mixers with bar-quality ice-crushing power. It is one of the few remaining brands to offer a glass material for its pitcher. The 2 ultimate reasons to get a blender with an Oster logo are durability and affordability. Despite being cheap, it comes with long warranty coverage.

Dom

For its features, the Oster Blender is the most affordable in its category. It’s not as classic as the KitchenAid blender, but it does the job just fine. I would highly recommend it to those looking for a cheap tabletop blender that also works as a personalized smoothie maker.
